Q: Google Translate is free, why are you charging for translations?
A: Although translate.google.com is free, bulk translation through Google's translation API is not free. Google charges us for each character we translate.
Q: What counts as a character?
A: Translate Alchemy follows how the Google Translate API counts characters. Punctuation, symbols, spaces, and new lines count towards characters.
